Hope for the Future: Ukrainian Fashion Week FW25/26

The Ukrainian Fashion Week organizing committee is proud to announce that the 56th season of shows and presentations will take place in Kyiv from February 14–17, 2025

Every collection crafted during Ukraine’s ongoing struggle against a full-scale Russian invasion serves as a powerful testament to creative resilience and hope for a brighter future. Ukrainian Fashion Week continues to showcase to the world that fashion is not merely an art form but a voice of a nation fighting to preserve its freedom, culture, and identity

Ukrainian Fashion Week SS25 took place in Kyiv from September 1 to 4, 2024, for the first time since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.
On September 1, over 50 experienced and emerging fashion industry representatives gathered for an OPENING MANIFEST at the Ukrainian House on the European Square in Kyiv. The event was a collective appeal and statement to the international community under the slogans “Brave to create the future” and “We design hope despite the war.” This event symbolized the 55th season opening of Ukrainian Fashion Week

The first professional fashion event in Eastern Europe

Ukrainian Fashion Week was held for the first time in November 1997. It became the first professional fashion event in Eastern Europe. It is a unique event in Ukraine that corresponds entirely to the world standards for prêt-a-porter shows, takes place twice a year, gathers more than 40 participants, accredits more than 150 Ukrainian and international mass media and is attended by over 25000 guests every time

In 2003 projects “New Names” and “Fresh Fashion” were founded as a part of Ukrainian Fashion Week in order to search for and support talented youth. During the time of their existence these projects provided continuous inflow of “new blood” into Ukrainian fashion and presented UFW with a reputation of discoverer of young talents

There are such important projects, which Ukrainian Fashion Week organizes every year: Best Fashion Awards (Ceremony of First Ukrainian Awards in fashion), Holiday Fashion Week (shows of cruise collections and beach accessories), Young designers contest “Look into the future”, Ukrainian Fashion Games. Worldwide famous designers Antonio Berardi, Ellie Saab and Stephane Rolland have shown their collections within UFW in Kyiv

Ukrainian Fashion Week is the only officially recognized Prêt-a-Porter Week in Ukraine that occupies an honorable place in international fashion industry
